What is the difference between a drone and a UAV?
Not much really. “Drone” is the term commonly used to define unmanned military aircraft, but has now become the term of choice for remotely controlled aircraft brought from hobby/toy shops. It’s also what’s often heard in the media. On the other hand, UAV is an acronym standing for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle – an aircraft with no pilot on board.
